What Is a Muon App?

A Muon app refers to an oracle app that is deployed and runs on the Muon network to fetch and process data and generate an output that can reliably be fed to a smart contract.

There are dApps that need an oracle component in addition to a smart contract and a client. However, developing an oracle component is difficult and tedious as the designers and developers need to deal with complex security issues.

As a viable alternative, dApps can depend on the security strategy that Muon has devised and just focus on the development of the oracle function as a Muon app.
